40 years of good and bad news
"If we do nothing, in 20 years the Mediterranean will be a dead sea". This sentence said by Jacques Yves Cousteau in 1979 is still relevant today and as is often the case, there is good and bad news.
The good news is that measures have been taken to ensure that the Mediterranean does not die. The bad news is that more than 40 years have passed and the newspapers are still headlining the same sentence.
But what is the reality? Is the battle lost in advance? What measures have been put in place?
