Synopsis

With the arrival of winter, the squares of the towns and villages of Alsace are adorned with sceneries, and the Christmas markets’ stalls are full of sweets and delicacies.

It is also the period when Alsace changes. The snow makes the Vosges mountains appear like the Great North and brings out reindeer breeders and dog sledding schools.

It is an unusual and magical time to discover castles, villages, and even some monuments in cities, such as the Strasbourg cathedral.
