Synopsis
Seen from the air, the Languedoc coastline appears as a string of lagoons, separated from the sea by a long strip of sand.
Today, it is a paradise for pink flamingos, but salt works extended here and supplied southern France for a long time. The white gold was then transported by a canal that links the Sète city to the Rhône River that still crosses the lagoons.
