Synopsis
From the Auvergne region to the estuary near Bordeaux, the Dordogne River runs for almost 500 kilometers. Along the way, it passes through various spectacular landscapes such as a volcano, deep gorges, and cliffs, often little known to the public.
Classified as a "biosphere reserve" by UNESCO, it is the only river in France to hold this prestigious label.
The Dordogne River also boasts exceptional landmarks like perched castles or sumptuous spa buildings.
