MARIE-ANTOINETTE, FRIENDSHIP & TRAGEDY
The memorable characters of History
An episode from the series DESTINIES
The small Trianon, in the park of the Palace of Versailles, was built under Louis XV for Madame de Pompadour and offered by Louis XVI to Marie-Antoinette, who was longing for an intimate place to flee the royal court.
Devoted to afternoons of relaxation, this space includes a theater, French and English gardens, a bandstand and the hamlet of the Queen where she liked taking care of animals.
