Synopsis

Far from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, in the Orne region in France, more than 70 villages take part in a contest for the most beautiful Christmas lights. A tradition that has been going on for nearly 20 years.

For several weeks, hundreds of volunteers design and install the thousands of decorations that will be everywhere—a competition where the only reward is a billboard saluting their efforts.

Everyone wants to make their village the champion and, as a result, attract the most tourists. Indeed, tens of thousands of people are expected for the occasion.
