MARI, BIRTH OF A CITY ON THE EUPHRATES
The wonders of archeology
An episode from the series LIVING STONES 2

The site quickly revealed its identity thanks to some carved inscriptions on a statue: here was the city of Mari, as mentioned on the famous list of the Sumer kingdom, and, according to the bible, the headquarters of the 10th dynasty after the Flood.
