Synopsis

In 1968, during the Golden Globe round-the-world race, Bernard Moitessier was on course to win when he chose to turn away from victory and sail on toward the Pacific.

A sailor, writer and pioneer of a philosophy of freedom and simplicity, he left a lasting mark on generations of sailors. Drawing on rare family archives, this film retraces his journey aboard his boat, Joshua.
