Synopsis
On October 2, 2017, Valérie Bacot was arrested. The 39-year-old mother and three of her children were accused of murdering Daniel Polette, their husband and father, who had been missing for 18 months.
While in police custody, she confessed to killing her husband, but described him as a violent and perverse man who had raped her as a teenager and forced her into prostitution. Her story is reminiscent of another notorious case: Jacqueline Sauvage.
