Synopsis

The iconic, glamorous images of DIM stocking ads span generations. They remain emblematic of an era when anything seemed possible, a time of ambitious France, the post-war economic boom, and the liberation of a society shedding its conservative mindset.

Yet little is known about the man behind DIM, a man born in Poland in 1916 who lost his family in the death camps before joining the Polish army and later the French Resistance.

One of his sons, Daniel, decides to lift the veil on his father's past.
