Synopsis

In 2016, Rama X became the new king of Thailand.

Following his crowning, this new extravagant and hot-tempered sovereign repudiated members of his family, appointed his dog as army marshal, had opponents murdered, and chose to rule his kingdom from his residence in Bavaria, Germany.

His erratic and often criminal rulings impact the whole of Southeast Asia, a region that plays a crucial part in the geopolitical agendas of China and the United States.
